The £6.5m redevelopment of the former Magistrates Court site in central Barry involved involved the construction of 52 dwellings and three retail units.
The retail units achieved a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ certification and they achieved a 91% rating of the available Materials credits. As the BREEAM Assessors and appointed Accredited professionals we were able to ensure the cost-effective delivery of the retail units.
The project was also designed with U-values significantly beyond the statutory minimum requirements helping to create a highly efficient environment and reducing the tenants’ energy costs.
