A refurbishment project in the City of Westminster. Key responsibilities included delivering a suitable energy strategy for the project and meeting local, regional and national planning policies, whilst also considering the building’s context within the Adelphi Conservation Area.
As a result of the coordinated approach an energy strategy was developed, which delivered a 49% annual CO2 saving against the baseline Building Regulations Part L threshold. The detailed methodology undertaken for the project also provided a reasoned justification to omit the provision of any renewable energy systems.
